The Wake Forest Well Dressed Garden Tour

Ever wondered what garden treasures are hidden behind the historic homes of North Main Street in Wake Forest? On Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24, the Wake Forest Well-Dressed Garden Tour and Garden Art Show will give you a chance to find out.

Several of these privately owned historic homes are included on the 2005 tour, as well as additional historic properties on nearby streets. The featured gardens include a wide array of plantings from century-old trees to newly designed and planted garden spaces. This is a wonderful way to get ideas for your own garden, so bring your camera!

The tour’s gardens will be “well-dressed” and adorned by artwork which will be featured in each garden. Local artists, working in a range of media, will be on site with their work in the gardens.

Garden sculptures in clay, metal, pottery, stained glass, paintings, and other garden-themed artwork will be available for purchase, with a percentage going to support the community groups hosting the tour.
Tour hours are 10 am – 4 pm on Saturday, and noon – 4 pm on Sunday. Tickets will be available for sale at The Cotton Company, Purple Poppy, the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce, Martin House and Garden, Post Nursery, and Atlantic Avenue Orchid and Garden Center.
